Educators in the district have the right and responsibility to objectively present facts, theories or postulates upon which knowledge is formulated in an atmosphere of academic freedom.  Within this context, the educator must not infringe upon the freedom of the citizens and students he/she serves and shall always endeavor to respect the beliefs and consider the maturity level of students.  Opinion should be stated as such, and theory identified for what it represents.


Students must always be permitted to preserve their own beliefs without fear of ridicule.


Conflicts involving subject matter content or instructional methodology shall be referred to one’s immediate supervisor.
