An employee who has suffered assault in connection with employment shall immediately report the incident, in writing, to their immediate supervisor, and shall make such supplemental written reports as needed.
The board, upon recommendation of the superintendent, shall reimburse an employee when the employee’s personal property, except for automobile, is soiled, damaged or destroyed by students or non-students through acts of personal physical assault and when such losses occur during the employee’s performance of the employee’s school duties. Such reimbursement shall be considered only after the employee has first been reimbursed through his/her insurance carrier. All such losses must be reported in writing to their immediate supervisor within 10 days.
The doctors at the Providence Occupational Health Partners are designated to be the school physicians for examination of bus drivers, maintenance and custodial staff employees.
